Marysabel Senyú touched the sky of the Central American Games again. The Dominican won the high jump gold at Santo Domingo 2026 this Friday with a mark of 1.93 meters, achieved on her first attempt — an execution that gave her control of the competition from the start.

The jump was not only worth the gold: it reaffirmed her status as regional champion, the same one she reached in San Salvador 2023 with a jump of 1.86 meters.

The complete podium

  • 🥇 Marysabel Senyú (Dominican Republic) — 1.93 m
  • 🥈 Dacsy Brison (Cuba) — 1.91 m
  • 🥉 Sakari Famous (Bermuda) — 1.89 m

Cuban Brison also reached her best mark on the first attempt, but the centimeters favored the Dominican, who added another gold for the host delegation in the final stretch of the competition.

The key figure

1.93 meters, her best jump in a regional event. From San Salvador 2023 to Santo Domingo 2026: three centimeters of progress and a gold confirming that Senyú is, today, the queen of the high jump in the area.
